Heather has most recently been working as a Development Officer for Comas working on a portfolio basis across a number of projects in Edinburgh with a health and social care focus.
After graduation from the University of St Andrews in 2011, Heather travelled, worked and volunteered in South East Asia and Australia, before spending seven months as a Volunteer Team Leader in Zambia with Restless Development – a youth-led development agency, where she supported a range of national and international volunteers on their community development placements in rural Zambia.
She’s excited about being part of a new project to tackle isolation and loneliness in over-60s. ‘There is such a need for this flexible service tailored to suit the needs of our VIPs in Edinburgh, as isolation is a key issue many face. I can’t wait to see how the project develops over the next four years.’
