Do you want to make a difference and play your part in tackling loneliness in older people in Edinburgh? There are thousands of older people living across the city who are often, or always alone.

By fundraising for Vintage Vibes, you can help us to change that and bring joy back into the lives of people like Betty, wo has found fun and friendship through Vintage Vibes. We think she said it best. “You make my life worthwhile”.

Getting Started...

Want to fundraise for us? Here’s a few ideas to get you started!

Whatever you choose to do whether it’s a ‘Cuppa & Company’ bake sale, sponsored challenge event or getting your workplace on-board, your support for Vintage Vibes makes a huge difference to lonely people in Edinburgh, which is one of the loneliest cities in the UK for older people. We’re building a fantastic community of supporters to help us change that and you can be a part of it!

To get you started, we’ve listed some fun ideas…

Check out our fun ‘Vintage Dress Up Kit’ and ‘Vintage China Afternoon Tea Set’ for 5-50 people which will help you host the most fabulous Vintage Vibes fundraiser with ease and our new pack contains loads of other fun ideas to choose from! Find out more about our tea party and dress-up kits.

Cuppa & Company. Bake or buy something scrumptious (check out our free tea party kits) and invite your friends or work mates to join you for a chat, cuppa & cake!
Find your inner adventurer… take part in a run, walk, hike, or do a spot of munro bagging! For something a little different, you could even join us and take part in a Fire Walk!
Throwing a vintage dress-up party (check out our free dressing up box!)
Testing you and your friends’ knowledge at the ultimate quiz or themed game night
Dance, dance, dance! Let your feet do the talking in a danceathon or or Zumba party!

Could your workplace save the day?

Get your workplace involved too!

There are a great many ways that your workplace can get involved and help tackle loneliness in Edinburgh! In addition to being fabulous people, your company can also benefit from positive PR, team building and volunteering opportunities and much much more!

Over 80% of our survey respondents said they would be keen to support a local business that support Vintage Vibes.

Why not get together with colleagues to hold a bake sale, quiz night, raffle, or dress up/down or ‘go yellow’ day? Got a team away day or work night out coming up? Why build in a fun fundraising activity into your plans!

You can also nominate Vintage Vibes as your company’s Charity of the Year, or put us forward for funding, if available, so you, your team and your whole company can make a massive difference! Match donation is another great way for your company to support your fundraising efforts and double your donation!

Some companies also offer payroll giving, as many firms are helping to make regular donations simple and you can donate more for less! Donations can be deducted from your gross pay before tax, this can give immediate tax relief so it’s a win – win!

Whatever you do will help us take a step forward in the fight against loneliness, so let’s work together, spring into action, make connections, and bring some smiles.
