Minster for Equalities and Older People Visits Vintage Vibes!

We were delighted to have a visit from Christina McKelvie MSP, Minister for Equalities and Older People in December.

Our VIPs enjoyed the opportunity to talk about issues facing over 60s in the city as well as to share their passions and interests.

During the visit, Christina McKelvie took the time to write a Christmas card for an isolated older person in the city, as part of Vintage Vibes’ annual Christmas card campaign.

Christina McKelvie, MSP, said: “I’m delighted to send a personalised Christmas wish as part of this lovely card campaign to help bring some festive cheer to someone who may be alone this Christmas. People are struggling this year in particular so places like Vintage Vibes offer warmth and joy and some lovely personal connections between VIPs and their volunteers. I hope Vintage Vibes continues to thrive and go from strength to strength.”

In recent years Vintage Vibes has fed into the Scottish Government’s ‘A Connected Scotland’ Loneliness and Isolation Strategy and we are dedicated to collaborating to reduce isolation in over 60s across the country.
